Mariposa Inn and Suites

Got the Townhouse room. Location was 10/10, conveniently across the street from a mall and super close to main attractions. Carmel by the sea, Cannery Row, Point lobos, ETC I don’t get all of the bad reviews. Room was nice and clean, plenty of space, and good pricing. Saw reviews about the headboard being scratched or worn out, multiple people stay there throughout the year I’m sure it’ll start to show some wear and tear. Breakfast was basic but I’m not complaining. It’s meant to keep you satisfied so that you can go to a nice restaurant in the surrounding area like ocean ave in Carmel (10 min drive) or cannery row (15 min max). Saw a review complaining about the smell of bleach, I’d rather smell bleach and know that stuff is actually getting cleaned the right way rather than worry if they cleaned at all. Overall would recommend and would stay again.

We just wanted to take the time to express how grateful and happy we were with the receptionists, Alysia and Joy. Our starter room was okay and comfortable. We were staying for four nights so we went to ask if there was availability for an upgrade and what that would cost. Alysia and Joy were both extremely helpful, kind, and generous! They found us the upgrade we were looking for and allowed us to take it, no charge! We could’ve had a very comfortable and okay stay, but this simple act of kindness made our stay amazing, relaxing, and romantic. The fireplace and balcony made a world of a difference. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and this whole trip was a surprise for me that just kept getting better and better. Thank you so much Alysia and Joy for your time and kindness in making our trip that much more special! We appreciate you! P.s. We were ecstatic to learn it is pet friendly and will be returning with our fur babes!

I have never stayed in a room that was 2 stories -- on the inside of the room, I mean. It was gorgeous inside. Fireplace. Right down to the towels and everything that was folded into little swans lol. I will say that, to some ppl, it might not be much too look at on the outside or in the halls, but the rooms are great. Good wifi, complementary breakfast. Pool & spa. The only thing I found odd was it's location. Or maybe it was jus the Google Maps app itself... idk but upon arriving it was in a weird way, almost hidden.

Stayed for 3 nights here at the Mariposa. Overall nice property. Pretty quiet which I like. Jacuzzi was great. Breakfast every day free was great. Only complaint is elevator feeling outdated/janky but overall great value here at Mariposa. I had a room next too barking dogs and the front desk had no problem moving my room around. I would stay here again if I'm ever in Monterey again.

We stayed 4 nights at this inn. It was very clean, cozy and quiet. The location was good you will need to drive to the Wharf & Cannery Row or walk a long ways. Nice mall across the way. I give it 4 stars because even though our room was really clean they missed dusting windows & door trim. Their fire pit seating area wasn't set up either. Their breakfast was good for on the go type stuff, coffee could of been better. I would stay here again.

Its a little older of a hotel but very nice upgrades nice service and the pool and hot tube is really nice

We had a great, 1-night stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking is free and the room we had was spacious and clean. It has a microwave and mini fridge. Very low level of noise as well. Grab and go breakfast was complimentary, consisted of packaged muffin, yogurt, fruit, and a small box of apple juice. Despite the lack of hot food option we were still grateful for what we got. The location was also very close to the Del Monte Shopping Center which was an easy 5-6 minute walk from the hotel. Overall, I would consider staying here again in the future.

The staff were great, the room clean and well outfitted, and temperate. My showers were plenty hot and the complimentary breakfast tasty. It is on a busy corner but once you’re on the premises it's very nicely secluded. Parking is ample and our room was quiet. There were lots of families with children, but it was still quite peaceful. They are dog-friendly, and have a dedicated dog area for amenities. The pool looked nice, but we forgot our suits. A very nice stay nonetheless.
